    Dear Teachers,

Should reading comprehension only happen in the English/Hindi/other second language classes? What about other subjects? Do you think reading comprehension is an important skill for students in every subject? Would be great to hear what you think and some examples from your subject.

    Thank you.

Whenever a child reads some text from a social studies book whether it is History, Geography, Civics or Economics,  periods about some scientific phenomena or some research/experiment…..or say when reads some story problem in Maths or some theorem and tries to understand it then also his reading skill is being enhanced. Then,  it cannot be said that reading comprehension is confined to languages only.

Comprehension is the ability of the learner to understand the concepts in its true sense and it is the most important testing factor for any learner.
