It would be really wonderful to develop reading skills in students which are depleting day by day.
In my subject ( English) , the steps would be
1. Skimming
2. Scanning
3. Understanding the core idea
4. Answer the questions on the basis of reading

They can be asked to make notes and underline the new words learnt in the passage.
